Hi! My name is Cherry. I was born and grew up in Hong Kong. I obtained my Master’s Degree in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. After immigrating to the United States in 2018 as a permanent U.S. resident, I have had a new journey in my life. At that time, I did not know a single person except my husband. Afterwards, I have worked multiple jobs in the Bay Area and I am studying Biological Science at West Valley College. I love magic, drama and volunteering. I joined the Christians on Campus in Fall 2019 and I have joined the Bible study group in our sister club at SJSU in Fall 2020.
I can make my plans but God guides me along the best path for my life. I would love to share one episode with you. We studied John Chapter 2 on September 8th, 2020. One thing I experienced the most is “3E” - Explore, Experience and Empathy. We need to go inward instead of outward. What is the deepest thought, feeling and motives? How do I respond to the ‘signs’ in our lives? I can share my thoughts and feelings to our group and embrace empathy on one another.
Joining Bible study group provides the opportunity for me to enhance my faith in God. During this pandemic, we are physically apart but emotionally connected. We are a group which is open to all, including those that may not belong to a church but want to explore your relationship with God in community. I am grateful to live in a joyful manner with an inward power of the soul.
Hi! My name is Zoe Lung and I graduated from college in December 2019. I studied biology, but one of my favorite classes in school was creative nonfiction writing so I am very excited to be helping out with our blog posts! I have been a Christian for as long as I remember, and I joined the Christians on Campus club at my school as a freshman in college. I love the Lord, the Bible, and fellowshipping with my brothers and sisters in Christ. My goal is to continue to spread my faith and to encourage my fellow believers in their Christian walk.
